Grammy award-winning Afrobeats superstar Burna Boy has released the highly-anticipated video for his latest single ‘Balon D’or‘ which features his fellow compatriot and Afrobeats biggest export Wizkid.
The two Nigerian music heavyweights had earlier shared the captivating tune ‘Balon d’Or‘ in December 2021 as a follow-up to their initial collaboration ‘Ginger‘ off Wizkid’s 2020 studio album ‘Made in Lagos’ .
The video which was unveiled on Friday the 7th of January 2022, is directed by budding Nigerian cinematographer Director K and was filmed in locations around Lagos Nigeria. The pristine looking visual captures both artistes in what seemed to be a celebratory scene, where they were handed individual trophies that looked sternly similar to highly famed soccer award trophy “Balon D’OR“, which inspired the name of the record. The video featured a cameo appearance from Nigerian UCF Welterweight Champion Kamaru Usman.
