The title Morayo, which translates to “I see joy” in Yoruba, reflects the emotional depth of the project and Wizkid’s journey through grief and remembrance. The album features 16 tracks that fuse Wizkid’s signature Afrobeat sound with themes of love, loss, and more.

The album features collaborations with prominent artists such as Brent Faiyaz on “Piece of My Heart,” Asake on “Bad Girl,” and Jazmine Sullivan on “Bad For You.” Among the standout tracks are “Kese (Dance)” and “Après Minuit,” showcasing Wizkid’s ability to create infectious rhythms while also delivering meaningful lyrics.

Morayo is not just another addition to Wizkid’s discography; it is a deeply personal exploration of his emotions following his mother’s passing. The album encapsulates a journey through grief while celebrating the joy that memories bring.

As Wizkid continues to solidify his legacy in the global music scene, this album stands out as a testament to his artistry and connection to his roots, resonating with fans both in Nigeria and around the world.
