“Morayo,” which means ‘I see joy’ in Yoruba, is not just another addition to Wizkid’s discography but a deeply personal project dedicated to his late mother, Jane Dolapo Balogun, who passed away in 2023. The album has been teased throughout the year, with Wizkid describing it as his best work.

The new track “Dance” showcases Wizkid’s signature blend of infectious beats and soulful melodies. It promises to be a club anthem while delivering the heartfelt lyrics fans expect. This single follows the successful release of “Piece of My Heart,” featuring American singer-songwriter Brent Faiyaz. The release set the tone for the album’s thematic depth and musical sophistication.

Wizkid, a global Afrobeats ambassador, reveals that Morayo will blend Afrobeats with R&B, pop, and dancehall, encouraging fans to approach it with an open mind.

Starboy Entertainment, in partnership with Sony Music International and RCA Records, will release “Morayo” on November 22, 2024. Fans can pre-save the album now. This ensures they won’t miss out on what promises to be a landmark project in Wizkid’s career.
