Grammy-nominated R&B music act Tay Iwar, is back with a sultry new tune called ‘Bad4U,’ which he originally teased last week on his birthday with an exclusive 15-second teaser available only on TikTok. The soulful-voiced singer finally shared the amazing record to streaming platforms.
This ear-appealing new single ‘Bad4U‘ follows his critically acclaimed2021 5-track EP, ‘Love & Isolation‘, in which he tackled the dual conundrums of love and loneliness with dark anguish, leaning into a charming, velvety combination of R&B and Afropop.
Tay Iwar‘s musical career has blossomed even more since then, scoring Grammy nominations for his contributions to Wizkid‘s “Made In Lagos” album, a UK number one with rapper Dave, collaborations with Tamera, Juls, and Sainte, and most recently a South African Music Award nomination in the Rest Of Africa category.
‘Bad4U‘ is Tay’s first release of 2022, and it sees him reflect on love in all of its manifestations.
