Talented Zambian RnB singer on the rise Mwanjé, has come forth with a captivating new EP entitled ‘Seasons‘. An amazing body of work that brews a diverse range of emotions and enchanting melodies.
The project boasts of 5 mellifluous tracks, with the song ‘Dandelions‘ as it’s lead single. A record about Mwanjé’s initial traces of nervousness in her music and navigating the industry while feeling that way. She repeats throughout the song, “She compromised her art.”
Through a fluid soundscape of alt R&B, Neo-soul, jazz, and spoken word poetry, the five-track coming-of-age EP represents her journey of self-love, self-discovery, and transition into maturity.
The EP includes her critically acclaimed tracks ‘Wildones,’ which features her sister Sampa The Great, and ‘Call 2 The Diaspora,’ which examines her sentiments of kinship with the global African community.
Mwanjé self describes Seasons as a “journey of self-discovery.” She continues: “My first body of work is about a journey of self love and discovery while maintaining adult life.”
