American singer “Janelle Monae” features Grammy-nominated Afrobeat veteran “Seun Kuti & Egypt 80” on new single titled “Float“. This collaboration may come to many as a surprise, however the genius of music transcends borders.
Janelle Monae is well known for her amazing vocals and on this track she did showcase it. She is revered as one of the best vocalists in the US with a rich discography of hit tracks. Seun Kuti did not voice on this track as he only played the saxophone and he did so gracefully.
One picture that can be drawn from the delivery of the track is the live performance. The bounce that follows the sax and other instruments is very rhythmic. The spoken words at the end of the track is cheers of positivity which encapsulates all that the single is about.
