Over Dem – Davido

“OVER DEM” is the first song on Davido’s album and serves as the album’s official opening track. The tune on this song is so remarkable and it is a noteworthy Afro-fusion record. The premise of the Timeless album’s opening track sounds like Davido’s road to becoming a champion, with the phrase “over dem all” serving as a highlight. The Nigerian superstar is clearly back since he exhibits strength as he continues to recover. What a wonderful way to launch a classic project!

Feel – Davido

The African artist’s latest solo success is this. The song “Feel” has the impression of establishing the album’s concept – Davido says, “Dem go feel it”. Despite the fact that an aspect of the song depicts a dejected lover asking for a spouse’s reconciliation. It’s kind of romantic and sad at the same time. However, the theme of the song is so upbeat along with Davido’s classic vocals so you may not notice all of that vibe since you’re too busy going hard to the tune.

In The Garden featuring Morravey – Davido

Continuing to do what he does best, the Nigerian superstar, Davido released another interesting song as his third entry on the Timeless album titled “In The Garden” on which he collaborates with rising star, Morravey. This song, “In The Garden”, presents the album’s first notable feature by including a lovely mid-tempo ballad. The track features Davido and Morravey – a member of his newly rebranded DMW 2.0 label – exchanging promises that gave the theme of the song.

Godfather – Davido

On this outstanding body of work, Timeless, no one can deny that Davido had a respectable run of solo songs – and Godfather is another track that proves his musical prowess. Unavailable – Davido featuring Musa Keys

Unavailable – Davido ft. Musa Keys

The presentation of “Unavailable by Davido and Musa Keys” is one that deserves praise, and both Nigerian and foreign music fans have hailed it as that year’s best song. As the song title suggests, Davido cruises while boasting that he’s unavailable. Remarkably, the pairing works perfectly, with Davido continuing to bring the heat as Musa Keys makes a stylish entrance. For a while now, this stellar collaboration has been turning up clubs in Nigeria and parties in South Africa, and it doesn’t look like it will stop anytime soon.

Bop – Davido featuring Dexta Daps

The sixth track on the Timeless album is an expertly composed song titled “Bop”, and the tune is a wonderful illustration of Davido’s individual musical palette and his knack for creating catchy tunes. Notably, Dexta Daps, Jamaican dancehall, and reggae performer, was invited for the collaboration that also livened things up on this entertaining song. This might not be the brightest tune but it’s in fact a hit that comes dashing into your playlist with time.

E Pain Me – Davido

Davido brings on his lover boy vibe on this explicit track, “E Pain Me”. You can really hear the classic Davido on this tune, as he passionately sings out his heart to his lover. The production of this tune is a 10/10 just like every other track on the Timeless album.

Away – Davido

Davido’s fourth studio album, Timeless, had another excellent hit solo single, “Away,” which he used to broaden his reputation in the music industry. In spite of his boasts about being unstoppable, Davido appears to be full of life in this song, “Away”, as he claims all he actually wants is to take an extended vacation in Ibiza, prioritize his mental health, and live every day to the maximum.

Precision – Davido

This may appear to be one of the lowkey tracks on the Timeless album, nonetheless, Davido comes through with his explicitly lit Afro-Fusion vibe. The production makes the song, “Precision” sound more interesting. It’s a remarkable sensation as Davido shows off his solo vibe again here.

Kante – Davido featuring Fave

This track comes with a theme portraying a burning love as its aura, which overpowers the melody in this lovely rhythm. With a fantastic verse on “Kante” that comes after an equally impressive chorus, the lovely Nigerian singer, Fave joins Davido’s top-rated list of Timeless album collaborators. In this song, Davido uses a soft, soothing voice that is really comfortable to discuss his admiration as he matches Fave’s classic vibe.

Na Money – Davido featuring The Cavemen

Davido collaborates with The Cavemen and renowned Beninese vocalist Angelique Kidjo on the love/lust song “Na Money.” Notably, the song combines African rhythms with contemporary pop music. The music is remarkably so beautiful, the hook and chorus of “Na Money” by The Cavemen are infectious HighLife waves, and Angelique Kidjo’s mesmerizing vocals add to the sophisticated piece of art.

U (JUJU) – Davido featuring Skepta

The concept of this single, “U (Juju)” by Davido and Skepta”, portrays a love that overwhelms the artist, as we can hear from the melodies on this gorgeous beat. It’s a top vibe as Davido shares his admiration for his lover in his vintage sound and Skepta’s deep UK-accent rap matches perfectly in this song.

No Competition – Davido featuring Asake

“No Competition” is another good record from this album. Davido returns with his signature lover boy vibes on this song while Asake provides an adorable verse softly in Yoruba – his expressive vocals really do the song credit. This is actually an excellent follow-up song to the album’s previous single, which was brilliantly done.

Picasso – Davido featuring Logos Olori

This track is another lowkey and mid-tempo song, the tune perfectly fits Davido’s sound as the superstar introduces yet another upcoming musician, Logos Olori, on the Timeless project. The track sounds like the bop you’d want to play over and over again as you hear the beauty of Afrobeats on this song.

For The Road – Davido

Davido released yet another solo masterclass with this excellent banger song – For The Road. The song has a theme that shows the enjoyment of great friendships and connections.

LCND – Davido

Legends never die because of our memories of them, which is how the track, “LCND (Legends Can Never Die)”, depicts the opportunity we have to honor the extraordinary individuals we have lost in this life. The song, “LCND by Davido” advises everyone to live life to the fullest and to love everyone around them unconditionally because we don’t have forever.

Champion Sound – Davido

The only pre-released single from the Timeless album is the last and 17th track – Champion Sound. Remarkably, Davido collaborates with the South African musician, Focalistic, on the song “Champion Sound”. In 2021, they released this joint song that already generated a craze, and excitement as the song was played widely.

Concluding Remarks

In view of what Davido wants to achieve with it, the “Timeless” album is fantastic and we can all testify that it has been shattering records ever since it was released. Nevertheless, the music on this project has a good sound pattern and the viewpoint is also introspective. Plus, even though the album did not feature any real mainstream global heavyweights, the percussion and musical arrangement were superb.
