Just when the fans were at the brink of giving up on ever getting any collaborative effort from the two Top Dawgs of the UK Rap industry, after years of anticipation and countless requests and pleas from fans of both parties wishing to see this materialize.
The 9th of July 2021 came with the answers to all our prayers in the form of a song, four minutes and eleven seconds long titled “Clash“ by Dave alongside Stormzy. Yes! What a time to be alive!
Unarguably the most anticipated Rap collaboration of the year produced by the talented Kyle Evans, “Clash” is yet another drill record about to take over the summer. With feel-good vibrations packed with egoistic lyrics about their glamorous lifestyles and the fly clothes they rock on a daily basis, they let us know what it feels to be on top of their game.
“Clash” is more like a celebratory testimonial of the success of both rappers, the braggadocious lyrics of the song is visualized in the pristine looking video directed by Edem Wornoo, with the flashy fast cars, glamorous looking women and exotic wristwatches on display.
As fans are gearing up for the release of Dave‘s sophomore studio album ‘We’re All In This Alone Together‘ as announced last week by the rapper, he only thought it right to get everyone fired up for what’s to come on the album and from the look of things, judging by the nostalgia we get from “Clash“, it’s safe to say the album is looking to be an eccentric one.
We should expect nothing but more amazing bops and impeccable lyricism per usual. In the words of Dave himself, describing his forthcoming album to GQ: “There is a magic to it! I feel like my first album was a concept, but this is a canon.”
