Amy Lilley, a budding South African songstress and queer activist, has released a second track, “Miles,” off of her forthcoming debut album, “Petrichor.” This follows the release of her first single, “Video Games.”
The song ‘Miles‘ has a retro vibe and is evocative of the synth-pop sound that is now making a big resurgence on the charts. Amy Lilley has drawn inspiration from a wide range of artists, including Bruce Springsteen, Twin Peaks, and Patsy Cline, but she has also added her own spin to each to produce a sound that is still relevant to the market today. The new album’s and the type of music it features will have a nostalgic, vintage atmosphere.
Speaking on the new record, the super talented Amy Lilley stated; “you would play in the car on a road trip when you’ve just made the choice to change your heart. Not forgetting all the bad stuff that happens and has happened but rather understanding it and choosing to move forward from it.”
