The Mavin Records signee “John Ighodaro” popularly known as Johnny drille released the body of work for he’s album ” Before we fall asleep” in the early hours of Friday 3rd.
Drille taps into the diverse sounds of the aforementioned artists to deliver a body of work that addresses thematic issues bordering on romantic relationships, socio-cultural and political issues.The 14-track project enlists music stars like Don Jazzy, Ladipoe, Ayra Starr, Chylde, Lagos Community Choir, Chillsoul, and the Legendary Styl-Plus.
The project which draws largely from a blend of American country sound and Afropop, includes tracks like ‘My Kind of Brown’, ‘Loving is harder’, ‘Ludo’, ‘Ova’, ‘Odo’, ‘Driving in the Rain’, ‘Before I Let Go’, ‘In the light’, ‘Clocks’, ‘Lies(To Whom It May Concern)’, ‘Lost in the Rhythm’, ‘Sweet as a mother’s Love’, ‘Sister’, and ‘Sell my Soul’ comes few days after the singer held a Pajamas-Themed Listening Party which was an insight for what was to come and now it’s here.
