Adekunle Gold, the ever-popular international Afropop sensation, debuted his breathtaking Tiny Desk performance on NPR Music today.

The must-see session, filmed in LA inside a retro, faux airport terminal, sees Adekunle Gold performing beautiful live versions of some of his best-loved hit records from his latest album Catch Me If You Can and 2020’s Afropop Vol. 1 today, coinciding with the first stop of his 19-city US and Canada tour in Boston and kicking-off NPR Music’s Black Music Month, sees the singer performing beautiful live versions of some of his best outputs.

Adekunle Gold, accompanied by a dynamic live band for the soulfully enchanting renditions, showcasing his mesmerizing, world-class calls vocals and one-of-a-kind stage presence and lyricism, breathes new life into ‘Sinner‘ featuring Lucky Daye followed up with a beautiful strings section, then transcending into more breathtaking performances of ‘Something Different‘ and a number of other hit songs of his.

Adekunle Gold joins the likes of Alicia Keys, Harry Styles, Coldplay, and Anderson Paak in turning in outstanding performances for the coveted NPR Music Tiny Desk stage, marking his progression into a fully-fledged, global music superstar.

Earlier in the year, Adekunle Gold released his fourth studio album Catch Me If You Can , which has racked up 207 million streams thus far and features collaborations with a wide range of top-tier talent, including Ty Dolla $ign, Stefflon Don, Fatoumata Diawara, and Fousheé, as well as the hit singles ‘It Is What It Is,’ ‘Sinner,’ featuring Lucky Daye, ‘High,’ featuring Davido and more. In June and July, he will take his ‘Catch Me If You Can tour’ to the United States and Canada, before performing in London’s O2 Academy Brixton on Sunday, October 9th.
