Back in July 2021, 1da Banton, a Port Harcourt bred Afro-Dancehall star on the rise released his fascinating single, “No Wahala” to streaming platforms. Unbeknownst to the singer who also doubles as a music producer, this record was a going to take him beyond the shores of his motherland.
It’s safe to say 1da Banton was presumably overwhelmed by how well the song, “No Wahala” the song has creeped it’s way up, making its way to the top of several music charts. The song has become one of the most searched this festive month of 2021, also clinching the number 5 position on the UK’s Afrobeats Charts, it can be said that this is a big win for the uber-talented young star.
It has been argued severally, how underrated Banton’s craft actually is in the Nigerian music industry, having laid the blueprint for several hit records by heavyweights.
His most recent studio album “Original Vibes Machine” houses 15 electrifying sounds with guest invitation honoured by Stonebwoy, Duncan Mighty, Zlatan and Seyi Shay, and is unarguably one of the most underrated release this year.
Well like the saying goes, “Every dog has its day”, and in this case, 1da Banton (real name; Godson Epelle) is not only having his day, but enjoying every bit of it, and we love to see it.
